Welcome to this new blog section in which we will be reviewing the new Lady-like Style! Sometimes with all the crazy trends out there we just want to play it safe and stick to something moderate and classic but we don’t it want to be boring! Here’s our suggestion of the day!
Bienvenidas a una nueva sección en el blog en la que nos dedicaremos a revisar el estilo Lady Like. Y es que a veces, con tanta tendencia loca, nos apetece ir sobre seguro con algo sobrio y clásico pero que no sea aburrido. ¡Aquí va mi propuesta de hoy!
Blue cotton long-sleeved shirt with a round collar paired with a white leather A-line skirt. A very simple outfit where the accesories are key: a pair of Amazona boots, an etnic-printed bag that we can wear as an envelope clutch, shoulder bag, handbag or even as a muff and lastly, a scarf around the neck to throw some light to our faces.

Camiseta azul de algodón con manga larga y cuello a la caja con una falda evasé de cuero blanco. Un conjunto muy sencillo donde cobran importancia los complementos: unas botas estilo amazona, un bolso de estampado étnico que lo podemos llevar como sobre, bandolera, bolso de mano o incluso como manguito y por último el pañuelo al cuello, que nos aportará luz al rostro.

BLUSH AND CHEEKBONE CORRECTION

Hi loves! More than once have friends and clients asked me ‘where do I apply blush?’ I think there is a big confusion between the cheekbone correction and where the blush should be applied. They are two different things that have a very different effect on the face.

¡Hola a todas! Más de una vez me han comentado amigas y clientes no saber «donde echarse el colorete» y creo que hay una gran confusión entre la corrección de pómulo y la aplicación del colorete o rubor, ya que son cosas distintas que tienen un efecto diferente sobre el rostro.

To begin with, the cheekbone correction is done with a contouring stick/pencil or brown mate powder. We underline the cheekbone creating a shadow. However, with the blush we emphasize and give light to it. As you can see, they create two different effects to play with depending on our face shape. How they are applied:

Para empezar la corrección de pómulo se aplica mediante lápiz o polvo marrón mate y con ellos marcamos el pómulo creando sombras. En cambio con el rubor resaltamos y damos luz, así que como veis, son dos efectos diferentes con los que jugaremos según le convenga a nuestro rostro. Cómo se aplican:

HISTORY OF A BAG – CHANEL 2.55

Exactly 60 years ago this February, Coco Chanel created what it turned out to be the most emblematic bag in the fashion world – the Chanel 2.55 bag. Hence the name of the bag that was released on February, 1955.
In celebration of the anniversary of this piece of art, Dainty and Chic opens a new section that will feature the history behind fashion classics.

En febrero de hace exactamente 60 años, Coco Chanel creó el que se convertiría en el bolso más emblemático del mundo de la moda: el modelo 2.55 de Chanel. De ahí el nombre, que vio la luz en febrero de 1955.
Con motivo de la celebración del aniversario de esta pieza de arte, Dainty and Chic abre una nueva sección que explicará la historia de grandes clásicos de la moda.
